As hard as it may be to believe, I actually had some stale Glazed Doughnuts laying around the kitchen..I’m not quite sure how that happened, but I was definitely not about to toss them in the trash, as if they were forgotten and unloved..lol!
I gave them a second chance at life by turning them into something that ended up being better than the original doughnut…I Cobblerized them!
Here’s the method, so you too can use up any not-so-fresh pastries around your kitchen as well!
First, prepare the Cobbler topping:
In a medium bowl combine..
1/2 Cup of melted butter
1 1/3 Cup of flour
|Cut up doughnut bottoms and reserved tops!|
?1/2 Cup of sugar
|Ready for the first 20 minutes in the oven!|
?1 tbsp. cornstarch
