~Red Velvet Popcorn..with Oreo Dust!

Well it’s finally here!  Happy Valentine’s Day xoxox!  After a week of sharing luscious and decadent V-Day treat ideas, I’m ready for something a little lighter.  Just a snack for later when the romantic dinner is over and it’s time for some movies on the couch! Of course we can go lighter without forgetting what today is really about..chocolate!  ;)

Even though this is popcorn, there’s no reason why it can’t be a little bit extra special, on this extra special day!  And no matter what kind of day you’ve had, this treat won’t disappoint!  So simple and yet so tasty, the Red Velvet cake mix kind of becomes one with the popcorn and then gets lightly encrusted with the Oreo dust!  Whip up a batch to top off your day of love!  And as a bonus, the pink-ish tint from the red velvet will give your lips a subtle romanitc glow!  :)

What you’ll need for 1 bag of microwave popcorn:

1 bag of popcorn

1 cup of red Velvet Cake Mix

1 stick of butter

2 or 3 Oreos for dusting!

Directions:

Pop up the popcorn and put it in a large bowl to cool

Make some Oreo Dust..just grated the Oreos into a bowl, and watch it fill up with the best dust ever! You can sprinkle this dust on anything that that needs improvement..lol! :)

Melt the butter, and stir it into the dry cake mix

Time to mix it up!

Pour the butter/cake batter over the popcorn, and with 2 forks toss it all together to combine..until your popcorn is a beautiful shade of Red Velvet! :)

Find your spot on the couch, press play..and dig in!  ~Enjoy!  :)

Happy snacking Valentine’s Day!!!
