Do you have that one special restaurant that you go to every year on your birthday, or anytime there’s a family celebration? Well..I do! When given the choice I always choose Tucanos! If you don’t know about Tucanos, it’s a super loud, super fun and super tasty Brazilian restaurant! They come around to each table with what seems like millions of varieties of grilled meats on giant swords, and then shave the meat right onto your plate..AWESOME!
But..even with all of the incredible meat choices they offer, my ultimate favorite thing, (other than their Cheesy Bread Balls..of course), is their Brown Sugar Grilled Pineapple..go figure! My $25, plate of grilled pineapple can be created at home for pennies! I even added in some thick and creamy Vanilla Chobani Custard! Did you know that in 10 seconds, you can turn Greek Yogurt into the BEST custard ever?! It’s true!
The sweet, rich vanilla pudding is perfectly balanced by the thick, tart yogurt & a cool splash of cream..a real treat!
Especially when it’s scooped on top of the warm, brown sugar coated, super sticky yummy grilled Pineapple!
Top it all off with some crunchy Macadamia Nuts, toasty coconut & a drizzle of Agave Nectar..and POOF~ an instant & amazing Brazilian breakfast/snack or dessert, right in your own kitchen!
What you’ll need:
1 Can of sliced pineapple
1/2 a packet of JELLO instant vanilla pudding
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup of toasted coconut
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Agave Nectar, or Honey..for drizzling
Fill a medium bowl with the brown sugar
Dredge both sides of a Pineapple slice in the brown sugar and grill it on a grill pan, until each side is a dark amber-mahogany color! They’re done when they are dark, sticky & totally epic (you’ll know when it reaches EPIC..trust me!)
You can almost smell them…ahhh!
While they’re grillin’ up, chop those nuts..just a little bit!
Now prepare the custard, while keeping an eye on the Pineapple..multi-tasking at its best!
In a medium bowl mix together 1-6oz container of Chobani Vanilla Greek Yogurt with half a package of JELLO Instant Vanilla Pudding & the heavy cream, stir it up until it’s creamy & smooth…set aside.
Top the hot, ooey gooey, dark and sticky, grilled Pineapple with a scoop of the Vanilla Custard, and top it with a drizzle of Agave Nectar, or Honey!
Then crown the whole plate with some toasted coconut & crunchy Macadamia nuts! Take a giant bite of the best treat ever! ~Enjoy!
