Creating this 5 star breakfast made me feel like I was one step closer to owning that quaint little Bed & Breakfast, listed at #1 on my bucket list.  It sits on a Vineyard somewhere in the Napa Valley, where I spend all day on my wrap around porch, creating recipes and contemplating the meaning of life..haha!

~But for now, this will have to do, and I’m okay with that…I think!

This French Toast is beyond crazy good!  Crack through its crispy, burnt Sugar Shell and you’re sinking into a warm, tender custardy bread, that just so happens to be over-stuffed with sweetened Cream Cheese.

There are really no words that do it justice~~you just have to..well, DO IT!  🙂

What you’ll need for 4 HUGE Sugar-crackly, super stuffed French Toasts:

1 loaf of French Bread, or any bread you like.

4oz. Cream Cheese

1 cup Sugar ..divided

2 eggs

2 cups Milk

2 tbsp. Cinnamon

A torch OR broiler

A grill pan or Griddle

Directions:

Slice the Bread about 2″ in thickness…

In a medium bowl mix the Eggs, Cinnamon and the Milk…set aside

In another medium bowl, combine the Cream Cheese and 1/2 cup of the Sugar….

Heat up the grill pan and dip the bread slices into the Milk & Egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.

Grill up the French Toast and set them aside…

Let them cool, and make a gentle and shallow slit into the side.  Creating a pocket for the Cream Cheese, and start stuffing equal amounts into each French Toast…

Now, sprinkle some of the reserved Sugar onto one side of the French Toast…

If you have a torch, torch it!  If not, you can put them under a broiler, Sugar side up.

The goal is to get them to look super sugar-crackly like this…

Serve it up with a nice drizzle of Syrup and prepare for the best ‘crack’ EVER…

You’re now standing on the corner of 5 star Dessert & Breakfast!

Crispy sugar shell and creamy filling..incoming! ~Enjoy! 🙂
