Just in time for Easter, this super simple, no fail glaze will make your ham the shining star at your dinner table!
With its thick, sweet and spicy flavors, it gets into every nook and cranny of the ham, coating it in an almost a candy like shell.  This takes a regular holiday ham to the highest level of flavor possible!  And it’s so easy, your Ham will go from Blah to Ahhh in no time!

What you’ll need:

3 Cups apple cider
1/4 Cup brown sugar
1/2 Cup regular sugar
1/2 Tsp. ground ginger
2 Tbsp. corn starch
1 Tbsp. molasses

Directions:

Simply, add all the ingredients, EXCEPT THE CORN STARCH, into a medium sauce pot and
simmer.
Once it’s simmering, take out about a 1/2 cup of the glaze, add it to a cup and whisk in the corn starch, until it’s well blended..making a slurry!
Then whisk the slurry back into the pot..bring it up to a boil, then simmer it, stirring regularly until it coats the back of a spoon…it takes a little while, but the thicker the better!

You can start glazing your ham after it thickens up, or you can refrigerate it until you’re ready to use it, it will last at least 3-4 days, if not longer.

To glaze the ham:
Start by painting a good layer onto your ham when you start the oven, and keep basting it throughout the cooking process, until the ham is dark and sticky! ~Enjoy!!

*HINT*  Kick it up by making it a “hard” apple cider glaze!!  Just stir in your favorite Rum or Schnapps…whatever alcohol you like,  after the glaze is thick..YUM!
