Thanks Denise!! I thought the same thing, and to be honest..if it were anyone other than Tyler Florence's idea, I may have missed out on this one..lol!
Give it a try, just use a tiny bit of the syrup, it's all you'll need! And I'm sure veggie stock would be just fine! Hope you like it! 🙂

This looks Intriguing. I like the combo of flavors. The maple syrup seems a bit weird but I know from experience that adding these odd, surprise flavors that hover in the background can make a truly awesome sauce!I may try this with veggie broth for vegetarian friends. Not sure if that will change things too much. Good recipe!
