One thing we like to use that uses a lot of different spices is home fries. With the exception of salt or pepper, it is almost impossible to over-season. You can make them as unique as you want. Sometimes we even use bacon grease for the frying. #flavorstory

My family is polish and I remember my Mom and Grandma making wonderful stuffed cabbage and pierogis. They are so much more flavorful than any I have tried to make! Myself, I like to cook things that are hot and spicy!

Growing up in a Northeast industrial town, we had many immigrants from Italy, Ireland, Poland and Germany, but virtually no Hispanic immigrants at that time. Foods like tacos, burritos, etc. were unheard of. My first taco as a young adult was from Jack-in-the-Box, and that's what I thought Mexican food was. Many years later I moved to Florida and bought tacos from a food truck. The people on the truck spoke very little English and their signs were in Spanish, so I felt confident the food would be authentic. When I went to my car and opened my tacos, I was confused. They were soft flour tortillas, containing shredded seasoned chicken, chopped onion, chopped cilantro, and lime wedges. What! No cheese, lettuce or salsa? But I bit into one and I had to admit...they didn't need a thing! I still don't like hot spicy food, but I know now that I can find delicious Mexican food and it doesn't have to burn your mouth. #flavorstory
