I was wondering the same thing as Diane, I thought it would work better (hole wise) to heat the fudge. I do that with the salted caramel poke cake that you have shown, heating the caramel helps it to run down into the holes. Definitely trying this one!

In reply to Diane Hansen-Bettis. Aww..thank you Diane! I find that if the cake is too warm, it's super difficult to poke, and could also become mushy when you fill the holes..but to each his own, it'll taste good no matter what..lol. :)

Hi Amy. This looks so yummy. In the directions you said to let the cake cool before poking it. Is there any reason that I shouldn’t pour the fudge on while the cake is still hot? OR heat the fudge to pour on a cooled cake?
