Sometimes maintaining a pretense of manners at the table gets so tiring doesn’t it?!..haha!
Especially when you’re starving, staring at all that amazing food, and you want nothing more than to throw manners to the wind and shove that food directly into your face hole. Sometimes waiting for someone to “pass the bread” just isn’t an option..lol!
Well..I’ve developed a way to grab yourself some gooey, cheesy, ‘garlicy’ filled..buttery-flaky crusted bread without making a scene at the table. SCORE!
Yep~ these glorious little Garlic Bread Hand Pies are what a hungry man’s dreams are made of. It’s now totally socially acceptable to grab at that food with your hands, because well..these are ‘HAND’-Pies..so yeah!
Each buttery, flaky, pie is stuffed with all things garlic bread! I’m talking butter, Garlic, cheese..and did I mention CHEESE!? Set these down on the table for the perfect game-day snack!
Grab yourself 1 or 4 and taste the delicious instant satisfaction that only a Garlic Bread Hand Pie can give you! 🙂
What you’ll need:
2 containers of Pillsbury Seamless Dough Sheets (or regular crescents will work, just pinch those seams together)
2 tbsp. butter..melted
1 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. of chopped garlic..but you can use as much as you’d like!
8 oz. of soft Mozzarella sliced
oil for frying..I used Canola
a 3″ round cutter
Chop the garlic and add it into the melted butter and Oregano…
Lay out the dough sheets and brush on the butter mixture onto one of the sheets…
Slice the Mozzarella into approx. 1/2″ slices…and add a single layer of the sliced cheese…
Place the top dough sheet onto the cheese, and gently roll it with the rolling pin just to stick the together.
Now, cut out your pies…
Use a fork to pretty up those edges, and make sure they stay put…
Fry them up one at a time in the hot (350 degree) oil, until they’re evenly golden…
Let them cool for a few seconds if you can wait. And serve those beauties up…
Then DIG IN! ~Enjoy! 🙂
