When you think of pickles, it’s not very often that we think outside the jar..haha. Until now, here I’ve simply added an extra element of sweetness AND fun, in the form of uhhmm.. tasty 7-UP!

Yes, you read that right- sweet, sparkling 7-UP! It adds such a whimsical and delicious depth of flavor to anything you decide to ‘pickle’! In this case, I chose to picklefy crisp apple slices, and spicy jalapenos- both of which are taken to a higher level of pickle, thanks to the surprisingly extra flavor that the 7-UP adds!

Kids love this, adults love this… everyone loves this! Make LOTS!

What you’ll need:

2-16 oz jars

ANY thinly sliced fruits or veggies that you like.. I used Jalapenos & Apple slices!

1 cup rice vinegar

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp. salt

1-16.9 oz 7-UP

Directions:

In a med bowl, combine the vinegar, sugar, salt, and 7-UP.. mix until fully combined…

Slice up your pre-pickles lol, and fill each jar with them (leaving room for the liquid)

Now, pour the liquid evenly between both jars, seal well.. and refrigerate until you’re ready to enjoy them.. the longer, the more flavorful! ~Enjoy! 🙂
