<p>Monkey Bread has now officially reached all-time high levels of awesome!  That&#8217;s right~  you&#8217;re witnessing the birth of a tastier, gooey-er, cheessier, monkey bread of all succulent and savory monkey breads!  This is more like an entire loaf of Monkey Bread, I mean..no one ever said that all monkey bread needs to look like a Bundt cake..right??  RIGHT..lol!  🙂</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlmid1.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16029 size-full" title="YUM!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlmid1.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="625" /></a></p>
<p>Fluffy and buttery puffs of beautiful billowing biscuits are fill to the brim with melty Mozzarella, just waiting for eager fingers to stretch and pull it a part!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlmid2.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16030 size-full" title="gimme!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlmid2.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Each bite will melt blissfully in your mouth and have you reaching for your next piece before you&#8217;re even close to being done with the first one!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlmid3.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16031 size-full" title="YES!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlmid3.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="708" /></a></p>
<p>Have a true friend close by or you WILL eat the entire pan yourself …not that I&#8217;m speaking from personal experience or anything~  I&#8217;m not..really, I&#8217;m NOT!  🙂</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlb4.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16033 size-full" title="Mmm!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlb4.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="670" /></a></p>
<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll need:</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlsups.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16035 size-full" title="STUFF!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlsups.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>one container of pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Biscuits (8 count)</p>
<p>3/4 lb. of fresh Mozzarella..the soft, but dry kind..NOT packed in water!</p>
<p>1/2 cup butter..melted</p>
<p>A bread loaf pan..sprayed with non-stick spray</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlbet.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16034 size-full" title="whoa!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlbet.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="589" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Directions:</strong></p>
<p>Cut your Mozzarella into (approx.) 1&#8243; cubes</p>
<p>Cut each biscuit in half and roll them into a ball.  Roll each ball out so it&#8217;s even, and large enough to wrap around your cheese cube&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlroll.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16037 size-full" title="Roll!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlroll.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Place a cheese cube into the center of the dough and wrap it up nice and tight, making sure to seal it up VERY well&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlfill.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16038 size-full" title="Fill them up!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlfill.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Dip each stuffed dough ball into the butter, coating evenly…</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlbutter.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16039 size-full" title="Butter!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlbutter.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Place each buttered ball into the loaf pan, you don&#8217;t have to be neat with this, it will bake up into it&#8217;s own personality…lol</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlinpan.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16040 size-full" title="Into the pan they go!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlinpan.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Bake it at 400 degrees for approx. 20 minutes, covering foil at the halfway point to prevent the top from burning before the center is fully cooked.</p>
<p>Let it cool&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlcool.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16041 size-full" title="cooling off!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlcool.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Now you can flip it out onto a serving platter, if you&#8217;d like…OR just start pulling straight from the pan..  🙂</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlflip.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16042 size-full" title="Flipping out!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlflip.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Serve it up with some warm Marinara for dipping&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlserve.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16043 size-full" title="ooo!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlserve.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="651" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>You may have a crowd starting to form around you..stay calm, and grab some for you..lol</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlplate.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-16044 size-full" title="That's right!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mmlplate.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="724" /></a></p>
<p>Get your hands in there..go on!  ~Enjoy!  🙂</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll need:</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmsups.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14459 size-full" title="Start your car! <p>1 cups of shredded Mozzarella</p>
<p>1/2 cup grated Parmesan</p>
<p><strong>The Batter:</strong></p>
<p>2 cups Panko bread crumbs (I do not recommend substituting regular bread crumbs)</p>
<p>1-1/2 cups water</p>
<p>1 cup flour</p>
<p>1/2 cup cornstarch</p>
<p>3/4 teaspoon baking powder</p>
<p>1/2 teaspoon salt</p>
<p>1/4 teaspoon garlic powder</p>
<p>1/4 teaspoon black pepper</p>
<p>Vegetable oil or canola oil – enough so that you have about 2 inches of oil in your pot.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmbet.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14460 size-full" title="Gimme!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmbet.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="707" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Directions:</strong></p>
<p>Use a clean dish towel to wipe the mushrooms clean, remove stems and discard In a bowl.</p>
<p>Mix together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add in water, about 1 1/2 cups, to create the batter&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmmix.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14461 size-full" title="Mix it up!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmmix.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Dip each mushroom in the batter, allowing excess to drip off&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmdip.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14462 size-full" title="Dip and drip!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmdip.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Coat each mushroom in Panko bread crumbs&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmcrumb.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14463 size-full" title="Crumbs!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmcrumb.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Heat about 2 inches of oil in a large stock pot to about 350 degrees. Carefully add mushrooms to the hot oil using tongs. Allow the mushrooms to cook for about 2-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmfry.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14465 size-full" title="Fry!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmfry.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Carefully remove mushrooms from the oil to a paper towel lined plate. Pour the Sauce into your baking pan&#8230;</p>
<p>Add the Fried Mushrooms to the Sauce, spaced evenly&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmsauce.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14466 size-full" title="Sauce" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmsauce.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Top them with the Cheeses&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmcheese.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14467 size-full" title="Cheesy!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmcheese.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Now bake it at 350 degrees for approx. 12 minutes or so, just to heat it through and melt the Cheese&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmbake.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14468 size-full" title="Ready to bake!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmbake.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="600" /></a></p>
<p>Let them cool a bit, the Mushrooms really hold in that heat!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmcool.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-14469 size-full" title="Cooling off!" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/fmmcool.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="624" /></a></p>

<p>Dirty socks on the floor, endless hours of Dexter, and sports on TV..in between the constant flipping of the channels!  Falling into the toilet at 2am, because the seat was left up!  What do all of these things have in common?  YEP&gt;&gt;a long-term relationship..mmhmmm!  Luckily us girls are able to find, obsess and embrace the redeeming qualities that erase all of the above &#8220;annoyances&#8221; from our realities..LOL!  One of those redeeming qualities is the Sainted &#8216;Family Recipe&#8217;!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/diegomid.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-4291" title="middle 1" alt="" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/diegomid-1024x682.jpg" width="502" height="334" /></a></p>
<p>We may have inherited a giant 14 year old man-child, but most of the time he brings with him some incredible kitchen creations, that have been lovingly passed down through generations of other women who knew how to embrace redeeming qualities also..haha!  😉</p>
<p>Recipes like the Hot Diego!  No one can tell me where the name came from..although we have tons of fun speculating about Grammy&#8217;s past when we try to figure it out. 😉  All we know for sure is that these are one of the easiest, yet tastiest meals ever.</p>
<p>A thick, crusty slice of bread makes the perfect bed for a warm, spicy beef &amp; sausage patty, soaked in hot Marinara Sauce and dripping with gooey Provolone cheese!!  Talk about tons of food pleasure for your effort buck!  This is one of those old fashioned &#8220;feed an Army on almost pennies&#8221; recipes&#8230;and everyone loves it!  Definitely give these &#8216;Hot Diegos&#8217; a try, they will become one of your family&#8217;s <del>redeeming qualities </del>favorite meals too! 🙂</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/diego-001.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-4293" title="diego supplies" alt="" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/diego-001-300x200.jpg" width="300" height="200" /></a><strong>What you&#8217;ll need:</strong></p>
<p>1 Part Spicy Sausage/1 part Ground Beef, OR one or the other is fine too!</p>
<p>(I always use the leanest beef possible)</p>
<p>A loaf of Crusty French Bread</p>
<p>Olive Oil</p>
<p>Sliced Provolone Cheese</p>
<p>Marinara Sauce..your fave!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Directions:</strong></p>
<p>Slice the bread about 1-1.5&#8243; thick and drizzle both sides with some Olive Oil</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/diegobread.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-4294" title="bread slice" alt="" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/diegobread-1024x682.jpg" width="502" height="334" /></a></p>
<p>On a hot grill OR indoor grill pan sear both sides of the bread, giving it those fabulous and tasty grill marks!   ..set them aside</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/diegogrill.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-4295" title="grilling the bread" alt="" src="http://www.ohbiteit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/diegogrill-1024x682.jpg" width="502" height="334" /></a></p>
<p>Mix together the meats and form them into patties..as thick as you like them</p>
<p>Grill them up until they&#8217;re fully cooked</p>
<p>Time to assemble the goodness!</p>
<p>Place 2 Provolone slices onto the grilled bread and set them onto the warm grill to get nice &amp; melty!</p>
<p>Top them with the hot patties, spoon on some HOT Marinara Sauce and then top them with even more cheese!  The warmth from the Marinara will slowly melt the cheese on top!</p>
<p>Grab a napkin and dig in!!</p>
<p>Make sure to save this recipe..especially if you have a son!  😉  Enjoy!</p>
