Have you ever had a craving for something, but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it?  You just knew that you wanted it..whatever that “it” might be.  Well, that’s exactly why you’re reading this right now.  I had a craving and I just didn’t know what for.  So I simply covered all of my bases and hoped for the best!

Each sweet and salty square is filled with nutty Peanuts and salty Pretzels all suspended inside tender Spice Cake and topped with sweet smears of whipped frosting that’s studded with even more pretzels and peanuts..whew!

We have sweet, we have salty, we have spicy, we have creamy, we have crunchy, we have warm, we have nutty…we have happiness!

~Make a batch of these the next time you find yourself just a little hard to please, cranky, moody, err..ready to snap..haha!  And BOOM~  all is good with your world again!

What you’ll need:

1 15oz. box of Spice Cake Mix

1/3-1/2 cup Milk

1/4 cup Oil~  I used Canola

1 cup Nuts…I used Honey Roasted, but any Nut will do!

1 cup Pretzels…slightly crushed

1 large Egg

White Frosting

Directions:

In a large bowl combine the Cake mix with the egg, oil and milk, add the milk slowly and use as much as you need up to a 1.2 cup!  This is a very thick batter, and should be, so you get that bar-like density that is SO awesome!

Now gently stir in the Pretzels…

And the Peanuts…reserve some for the topping if you’d like!

Add the thick batter into a small/shallow baking pan lined with parchment paper… the thicker the pan, the thicker the bars will be!

Bake it at 350 for approx. 20 minutes, or until the top is slightly golden and the center is firm.  Let it cool..

Now cut it into squares…

Add some frosting if you’d like~  YUM!

Don’t forget to share…eh, or not!  ~Enjoy!  🙂
