This popcorn has a surprise ingredient that makes it a very tricky treat!

It’s..JELL-O!
This is by far, the best application for Jell-O I’ve ever seen, aside from drizzling it down into poked holes in a sheet cake..yum!  🙂

First of all, do everything you need to do before you get started, once you start this process, although quick..you can’t just stop, even texting will be impossible for the next few minutes..lol!

Have 2 large bowls ready and pop 2 bags of microwave popcorn (if you pop your corn on the stove, make sure and make 18 cups!)
Pour one bag (9 cups) into one bowl, for the orange.. and the other bag (9cups) into the other bowl, for the black!  ..set aside!

Start with the orange first since it’s the lighter color!  You will need:
1/2 Cup sugar
1 Cup light corn syrup
1 3oz. package of Orange Jell-O
Orange food coloring..I just mixed red & yellow!

1. Bring the sugar and syrup to a boil..lightly stir to combine
2. Remove from heat and stir in the Jell-O and a few drops of the orange food coloring (until you like the color)
3. Pour the mix over the popcorn..mix WELL with a large spoon until the popcorn is fully coated in the color!
4.  Spread out onto a cookie sheet and let cool

For the black, simply repeat the above ingredients & steps, but use Cherry Jello and  black food coloring instead!
~Since you started with the orange color first, you can re-use the same sauce pot for the black..(less dishes..yay!)
After both sheet pans have cooled, break apart the sticky pieces and enjoy!!  The Jell-O makes this popcorn taste AMAZING! ~Enjoy!

*HINT* Share with others before you eat any, so you can laugh at their black lips and teeth..good times!
