First of all, I hope that nobody takes offense at the fact that I refer to this as “stuffing”, and not “dressing”, that’s just how I was raised..so blame my momma!

For what it’s worth, I do have extended family that insist on calling it “dressing”, but either way, it’s darn good, and we can all agree on that..whew! 🙂

In fact, I never thought that stuffing/dressing could ever be improved upon, until now, maybe?!
I think it’s my favorite component of a holiday meal, other than when my Uncle Tom has too much Egg Nog, and puts gravy on his pumpkin pie..lol! 🙂

However…being who I am, I was compelled to change it up just a bit.

I thought that adding some Cranberry Cookie crumbs would be a sweet, fun and crunchy addition to the stuffing, but I am too lazy didn’t like the idea of baking an entire batch of cookies, just to crumble some onto the top.

Instead, I whipped up the cookie dough and simply dolloped spoonfuls of it into & onto the stuffing before baking it. And I froze the rest of the cookie dough for another time!
Not only was this method so much easier, but by baking it together, it infused more flavor to the dish!

The sweet cookie crunch mixed with the tart cranberries and warm savory stuffing, are such a winning combo!
Hope you give it a try!?

???

Can you handle all these ingredients? 😉

?

You will need:
1 box of Stuffing (or feel free to make your own)?
1 box of Cranberry Cookie/Cake Mix
(I like Pillsbury Cranberry Bread and Muffin Mix, because it’s not too sweet!)
I mixed in some fresh Cranberries to the prepared dough for extra color/flavor!
You can also use a roll of sugar cookie dough and just mix it with dried or fresh Cranberries!
Yep..that’s it!

Directions:????
Ready to dig in! 🙂

Prepare a batch of your favorite stuffing, and before you put it into the oven, evenly dollop small amounts of the dough & cranberries onto the top as of the stuffing, so it will create a cute and yummy cookie crumble topping!
??

Resist the urge to make your dollops of cookie dough crumbles too big, it shouldn’t over power the stuffing, just add flavor and character!
Happy Holidays! ~Enjoy!!
*HINT*  If any of your family members drink way too much Rum insist that gravy on their Pumpkin Pie is normal..take pics, post to facebook..and friend me!  ;)??
