These mingle-friendly Caramel Straws and a couple of crumbs..won’t get in the way of drink holding, Facebooking, Tweeting or even Texting!  You know..all those things we like to do when we’re out “socializing”….LOL!  😉

And..you’ll never believe how quick & simple it is to keep a crowd of sassy snacker’s happy.  Each crispy, light and sweet Straw has a warm, sticky & slightly chewy vein of Caramel running through it!  And then they’re all dusted with a hint of Salt and Cinnamon, just to really drive home those flavors!  Ohhh yeah!

Serve up a quick batch of these the next time you need a people pleasing party favorite, a hot cup of coffee topper, OR..simply as an awesome fun, kid friendly dessert/snack in front of the TV at the table!

You’ll L.O.V.E. them!  🙂

What you’ll need for a huge pile of Straws:

1 Box of frozen Puff Pastry Sheets (2 sheets per box)

Some Caramel Sauce (about a cup..or so)..store bought OR homemade is fine!

1 tsp. Kosher Salt..or to taste!

2 tbsp. Cinnamon/Sugar mix

1 egg

Directions:

Roll out each thawed pastry sheet so they’re the same size….(use a sprinkling of flour if needed)

On one of the sheets, pour about 1 cup of the Caramel Sauce..

Brush that thick Caramel evenly onto the pastry sheet…

Then top it with the other Pastry Sheet!

Slice the sheets into about 1/4″ slices..

Take two strips and start-a-twistin’ them together!

Lay each twisted straw onto a parchment lined baking sheet and brush them with the egg-wash (one beaten egg and a splash of water)….

Now for the best part..the Salty Cinnamon/Sugar Sprinkle!

Combine the Salt & Cinnamon/Sugar, and lightly top the straws!  As good as the Caramel Pastry is, it’s really the salt that makes these amazing!  🙂

Bake them at 350 for about 12-15 minutes, until they’re golden and puffed!

Check out the bottoms..that’s where the $ bites are!

Serve ’em up warm, flaky, gooey and chewy!  ~Enjoy!  🙂
