Oh GOSH! Where in the world do I start? It’s a rare day when I’m at a total loss for words, but I seriously don’t know how to explain this incredible, succulent Cinnamon Roll Brownie dream come true.
Just try to imagine a big, warm, super moist, dense, Brownie, filled with tunnels of thick, drippy, Cinnamony sweetness, studded with crunchy Pecans, and then topped with a thick Cream Cheese Spiral of Frosting.
~Yeah..that pretty much sums this crazy-good creation up. But to really understand, you’ll just have to give it a go..so go, go on…Go! 😉
What you’ll need:
1 box of White Cake Mix…or any flavor you’d like
2/3 cup Cream
1/2 cup melted Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
A 9″ round cake pan for that Cinnamon Roll look..or any cake pan will work too. Spray it with non-stick spray!
1 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup chopped Pecans
1 tbsp. ground Cinnamon
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tbsp. or so of Water just for consistency
I used store bought Cream Cheese Frosting to top the Brownies
First prepare the Swirl, and set aside! In a medium bowl combine all of the Swirl ingredients until it’s thick and blended…
Mix together the cake Batter with the Cream, Butter and Vanilla, and pour it 3/4 of the way into the cake pan. You might have some batter left over…make some mini Brownie Bites, or something! 😉
Add dollops of the Swirl into the cake batter and use a knife or Chopsticks to swirl it around in pretty Cinnamon Roll-ish designs…
Place the pan onto a Sheet pan to protect your oven in the event of a slight spill- over. 🙂
Into the oven at 350 for approx. 35-40 minutes, or until it’s cooked through. Let it cool completely before flipping it out of the pan…
Flip that baby out…
Top it with the Cream Cheese Frosting.
Cut it up into Brownie sized pieces…
Grab some for you…
Open wider…come on, like you love it! 🙂 ~Enjoy!
Just found your site. I think I’m in love (is that too forward, since we just met?!).
LOL, ~not at all..we love fast and hard around here! 🙂
Patti, you’re home! Amy’s absolutely right. Welcome!
Oh my goodness! I cannot wait to try this recipe! Looks amazing. I am hosting our Dessert Club this month and this might have to be our dessert! Thanks for sharing! Love your site! 🙂
WOW!!! This looks like something i should try tonight!!! … and lucky me i have all the ingredients handy!! Woo Hoo! Thanks for sharing!! 🙂
Love your website but am having trouble printing out the recipes….I need help, please.
I was just wondering about the picture of the bite on your fork with more of the filling. Is there extra left over for you to pour over the piece on your plate? I don’t think you mention that part. This looks SOOOO Good!
Yep..there will be some left if you don’t use it all in the swirl. 🙂
So there is no chocolate in the filling? It looks dark, but that must just be the brown sugar. I suppose a chocolate cake mix could be used. Otherwise, it’s more like blonde brownies? Either way, it looks fantastic and I will try it soon. Thanks.
I call them Brownies because of their dense consistency..even though they are still brown due to the Cinnamon swirl! 🙂
just to be clear, you don’t follow the cake mix directions. The “batter” is combining the mix with the cream and vanilla and melted butter?
Thanks so much! I don’t have cream so I’m going to have to use buttermilk … I hope it works! 🙂
Is the filling the swirl?…..directions a little confusing…..” First prepare the Swirl, and set aside! In a medium bowl combine all the filling ingredients until it’s thick and blended”. This look divine! But want to be clear before I start! THANK YOU
Yep…they’re the same thing. 🙂
I’m in the process of making this now, but both the mixes turned out a lot thicker then in pictures. Not sure why. Added more water to the filling. Will let you know in a bit how it turns out!
Not sure the consistency was the same as the same as above, but it was delicious!
This looks way too YUMMY! However, the first sentence in the directions says to “prepare the swirl”, but I don’t see any ingredients listed for “the swirl”. Is this the same thing as the filling? THANKS!
Yep…swirl and filling are the same thing. 🙂
Mine turned out great straight out of the oven but overnight got really hard and I noticed my batter consistency was a lot harder than yours when I made it.. do you think that could have been the issue? or do you have any other suggestions
The batter would depend on what kind you used…make sure to cover it if it hardens up overnight, you can re-heat it to bring it back to life…and add more frosting too. Lol! 🙂
Whaaaat! I am dying over these. My husband is also peeking over my shoulder, drooling a little, and suggesting that I should make them immediately. They look insane!
Do we make the cake according to the steps on the box then add the other items. Or is the mix added to the few ingredients??
Cake batter, plus Cream, Butter and Vanilla~ 🙂
im confused. ruth asked if you DONT follow the cake mix instruction on the box(as if you were making a cake) and you said correct. then jacque asked if you DO follow the box instructions(as in adding water, oil, egg etc.) and then you add into it the cream, butter and vanilla. you said correct. which is it?
So sorry~ The batter is: The Cake Mix plus the Cream, Butter and Vanilla to make a thick Brownie-like Batter. 🙂
These were absolutely, unbelievably amazing. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe! I made them last week and am making them again tomorrow because they’re just so good! Dare I say they are better than an actual cinnamon roll.
You made my day! I’m so happy you loved them. 🙂
I was thinking of doubling this recipe and using a rectangular pan. You think that would work?
As long as your pan is big enough, I think it would be fine! 🙂
All righty these were a hit but I would do it differently next time I used a 9 in square pan this time, I will use an oblong one instead and certainly not use all of the brown sugar cinnamon mix in the baking process, actually cut that in half and swirl it through or reserve some for the topping over the cream cheese frosting. All that tried said they were delicious it just did not serve up well at all just to much caramel cinnamon goop stuff.
Sounds delish. Hubby is a cinnamon roll freak. He eats a 5 pack every night. Curious as to the cream. Whipping/Heavy cream ?
i am confused as well, why a 9 inch pan and not a
13×9 inch? Just curious bc i might make this tomorrow thanks
