Pound Cake has always been one of my very favorite Cakes!  It could be because it brings back so many memories of being at my Grandma’s house, or it could be because it’s just SO darn good..lol!  Whatever it is, I LOVE it!  And now I love it even more.

I’ve gone and made it almost better by adding a super fun, and super flavorful, unique ingredient~  CREAM SODA!

Actually this is kind of a cute union because Cream Soda was my Grandpa’s favorite drink and Pound Cake was my Grandma’s favorite cake…so in a sweet way…these two are meant to be together..lol!

Each bite is SO moist, with just a subtle background essence from the Cream Soda,  you almost won’t be able to pinpoint it.  It just gives the cake a little somethin’ somethin’ that makes it To. Die. For!  🙂

Whip this up and give it a try..you’ll LOVE it!

What you’ll need:

One 16 oz. box of Pound Cake Mix…FEEL FREE TO MAKE YOUR OWN POUND CAKE!  (just replace the liquid with the Cream Soda!)

Your favorite Cream Soda~  enough for your cake instructions PLUS a few drops for the Glaze!

1 cup Powdered Sugar

A standard 9×5 bread pan

Mix up your Pound Cake batter making sire to replace the liquid with the Cream Soda!

Pour the batter into a greased bread loaf pan, and bake it at 350 for approx. 30-45 minutes, or until it’s golden and firm all the way through…like this~

While it’s baking make the Cream Soda Glaze by mixing together the Powdered Suagr and a few drops of Cream Soda until it reaches your desired thickness…set aside!

While it’s warm, poke some shallow holes into the top of the cake…Drizzle just a few drops of pure Cream Soda down into those holes…just a little bit so it doesn’t get soggy!

Now drizzle the Cream Soda Glaze ALL over that baby…

Serve it up to all those people gathered around you at this point…

Slice it up…of course!

You’ll probably need want a  plate…

Because it will need one…Especially for YOUR amazing slice!  ~Enjoy!  🙂
