I’m sort of ashamed to admit it, but I’m really into alternative Pizza Crusts lately. I’m not sure what brought it on, or why, I just am~ so as usual, I’ll just go with it..haha!
Hope you don’t mind…but this time I ‘crustified’ some Tater Tots! In my mind, not much goes better with crispy Tater Tots than warm, rich scoops of Chile…topped with loads of Cheese..of course! And what a fun Pizza this turned out to be, not only did everyone love it and beg for the recipe, it was gone in like 20 seconds..haha!
The crispy Tater Tot Crust holds up to the warm Chili and melty Cheese perfectly! Give this easy, one-of-a-kind Pizza change up a try…you’ll LOVE it! 🙂
What you’ll need:
an 8″ Pizza pan
Approx. 3 cups of Tater Tots..defrosted
1 can of Chili~ your favorite variety!
1-2 cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese, or a blend is fine too
Sour Cream and Jalapeños for topping..optional
Directions:
Spread out the Tater Tots in an even layer, and bake them at 350 degrees until they’re tender and slightly golden.
While they’re warm, get in there with your clean hands and mush them up., forming a nice, even layer of a “crust”. Gently press it into the pan and make the edges pretty. Stick it back into the oven for about 10 minutes so it can become a solid golden crust…
Now~~Top it with the Chili…
And the Cheese…
And back into the oven it goes, just until it’s all hot and bubbly!
Take it out and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing it up…
It will slice up just like a Pizza! ~So, have a few slices..lol! ~Enjoy! 🙂
