OHH, Good Lord, sometimes I scare myself question my own sanity…lol!  But when I can’t answer those questions, I simply distract myself with bites of incredibly, strange and delicious mouth treats.  🙂

Such as these things.  >> And by “things” I mean, crispy, tender, slabs of juicy fried chicken, completely smothered in gooey scoops of Mac n Cheese, coated in toasty bread crumbs and deep fried..that’s all!  I wasn’t sure that this idea would work out, but omgosh…it DID!  And by “work out” I mean..TO. DIE. FOR. incredible!

The crispy outer layer of that toasty breadcrumb encrusted gooey mac n cheese, is just the beginning of your palate pleasures!  The Chicken is a hot and crispy, just waiting to be perfectly balanced by the smooth, creamy and toasty Mac n Cheese!

DO THIS!

*Now, I’m warning you, to get to this end result, be prepared to get those hands of yours a tad um, how shall I say..messy!  But they’re so worth it..trust me!

What you’ll need for 6 large portions:

6 {precooked} Fried Boneless Checken Tenders..I got mine at the grocery store deli!

3 cups of prepared Mac n Cheese

1 cup flour

2 eggs

1 cup dried bread crumbs

1.2 cup grated parmesan

oil for frying..I used Canola

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine the mac n cheese with the eggs and flour.

Add the bread crumbs and parmesan into a shallow bowl, mix to combine…

Now..the messy part (but SOOO worth it)…

Take one of the chicken tenders and mush the mac n cheese “batter” as I like to call it..lol, all around the chicken, coating it very well.  It will seem like it’s not sticking, but drop it immediately into the bread crumbs and it will all become one..like magic!  🙂

Gently squeeze the batter onto the chicken and set them aside as the oil heats up to 350 degrees.

Fry them one at a time until they’re golden and evenly crispy.  Let them cool.

Grab a plate and getcha one…

You can share if you’re not worried about anyone thinking you’re crazy…  😉

Or not…just keep them all to yourself!  ~Enjoy! 🙂
