Have you ever tried a steamed cinnamon roll?  If not, you definitely need to.. it’s a came changer in the world of cinnamon rolls for sure!  I created this basic version, as one of my very first recipes ever, here on this site, and they’ve been my favorite method ever since.

Once you experience a melt-in-your-mouth, hot, gooey, almost wet cinnamon roll~ no other kind will ever quite measure up.  

The only thing I could think of to maybe improve this tasty treat is.. {..wait for it….} yep~ booze!  And by booze, I mean whiskey.. of course!

Each of these sweet, and tender cinnamony rolls are dripping in flavorful whiskey, and it’s a perfectly paired balance of flavors that will leave you making sounds that you never knew you had in you..lol.  Give them a try, .. trust me.

What you’ll need:

1 container of Grands Cinnamon Rolls (5 count)

5 oz. whiskey…divided.

cinnamon for topping.. optional

5 microwave safe glasses or mugs


Pour 1/2 an ounce of whiskey into the bottom of each glass…

Place one cinnamon roll down into each glass…

Now, pour another 1/2 ounce of whiskey on top of the cinnamon roll..

Microwave them for approx. 4-6 minutes, or until they’re firm and you can see them slightly pulling away from the glass..

Top them with the enclosed frosting..

And a dash of fresh cinnamon if you’d like..

And sink down deep into that glorious, gooey.. goodness!
