MAKING THE WORLD MORE JOYFUL

Too many of us are in the grind. We wanted to make a whole product to help your mind and body. And a brand to spread joy to the world.

The experience of joy looks different for everyone. And the truth is, as good as it feels and as simple as it seems, joy takes a little work. You could say that seeking joy in life has its own asterisk: Some assembly required. But no matter how you get there, you’ll know it when you feel it. And it’s worth the journey.

“Refreshingly delicious~ and a drink you can literally feel good about! Each flavor is perfectly balanced, and will pair perfectly with Summertime fun in the sun!”

SO GO PURSUE YOUR JOY, NO MATTER WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE.

A BETTER WAY TO HYDRATE AND HEAL

“Drinking tea is actually better for you than drinking water. Water is essentially replacing fluid. Tea replaces fluids and contains antioxidants so it’s got two things going for it.”

OUR STORY

In early 2019, we were introduced to CBD and the benefits of how it was affecting our active lifestyles. Whether we were stressed out and our emotions were high or felt a bit gloomy and our emotions were low, CBD always seemed to get us back to neutral. We started with taking tinctures but quickly began searching for a CBD beverage that was tasty and free of any artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors and even natural flavoring. We wanted a whole product that was beneficial, not just the CBD.

It was at this time that the concept of For Joy was conceived. Selfishly, we created a product for ourselves. Something we could drink daily that we knew would only enhance our mind, body and spirit and not have to worry about funny sugars and chemicals for flavors.

We worked hard for 6 months, formulating and reformulating several different blends of black tea to arrive at what we have today. A tasty, refreshing, “just-like-your-grandma-used-to-make” iced tea that is infused with high quality CBD.

The world’s a little funny right now. Nothing like the 90’s when we all grew up. We’re a team of entrepreneurs that are running a business with no aspirations to dive into politics. But we still feel an incredible sense of responsibility to leave the world in a better place than we entered for our children and for our communities. Because of that, we wanted to create a lifestyle brand that exudes an overarching emotion that was relatable and attainable by everyone.

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, one of our co-founders, Jeff Chu, has been a lifelong Bay Area sports enthusiast. Around the time when we began brainstorming names for our company, Jeff had listened to an interview of the Golden State Warriors, Steph Curry. He talked about how the Warriors tried to elicit a specific emotion in every aspect of the organization; joy. The idea was if you were pursuing an action with a sense of joy, those limiting beliefs that linger in all of our minds, for that moment, they melt away.  And all that was left was unrestricted, limitless potential. Your true potential. 🤯🤯🤯

We HAD to build a brand around that.

Now that we have aligned ourselves to this powerful emotion of joy, our focus and our mission is to bring joy to as many individuals and communities as possible. The hope is that if we can inspire joy in individuals, collectively, the world will become more and more joyful.  As a lifestyle brand we want to showcase those who find joy in whatever it is that they do. Whether you are Steph Curry or Alex from down the block. The idea is that if we can collect as many instances of joy and broadcast them to the world through our content; maybe it’ll bring a smile to someone’s face who’s having a tough day. Better yet, it will inspire someone to pursue something they never thought they would be capable of because they saw something in Alex down the block that they can relate to and thinks “if they can do it, why not me?”

We want to live in that world. It’s going to take a minute to get there, but let’s build it together.

Spreading the Joy,

JEFF, THOMAS & JEFF
