In 2007, Carla and her husband Rodolfo discovered einkorn through a group of researchers in Italy. After introducing einkorn to their daughter’s diet, her symptoms of gluten sensitivity subsided and Carla’s family could feel good eating this healthy ancient grain.

Jovial Foods, Inc. was founded by a husband and wife team who have always been passionate about food, farming, and traditions. Carla and Rodolfo were both born into families of talented home cooks, and food was at the center of their childhoods.
