Recently I had the amazing opportunity to wrap my lips around TWO incredible varieties of >>wait for it>> Country Crock’s BUTTERY SPREAD!
Not just any Buttery Spread, this is Country Crock’s “Simply Delicious” and “Deliciously Simple” Buttery Spread. Talk about decadent! It was all I could do not to grab a spoon and dive right in the moment that I opened the lid and saw that perfect swirly dollop of smooth, virgin, buttery goodness!
I was so impressed with the all natural ingredients, like Yogurt. The flavor was rich, creamy, succulent and dreamy! Such a smooth and delicious addition to many recipes and side dishes, especially this time of year!
The Buttery Spread was so scrumptious, I could’ve seriously eaten it as is, but luckily I controlled myself long to create this ALL Butter stack of Pancakes! Mmmhmmm~~each Pancake is filled with Batter & Butter…Butter & Batter…that’s IT! No liquid in this buttery batter baby!
Yep…this succulent stack is dripping in Buttery goodness, inside and out! With a glossy drizzle of Butter’s Bestie…Honey!! 🙂
What you’ll need:
Enough melted Country Crock’s Buttery Spread to replace the liquid measure called for on your pancake mix box instructions…for me it was 1 cup melted butter…
Extra Buttery goodness for topping…
Honey for drizzling…optional!
In a medium bowl mix up the Pancake Mix with the melted butter spread (replace the liquid in the box instructions) if you need a few splashes of water to get a batter consistency, add a splash or 2…
Mix it up…
Griddle up those buttery cakes as you normally do, and then guess what??!!
YEP~ Top them with…more BUTTERY deliciousness!
And some thick Honey…
Plate them up…
And climb that stack with your lips! ~Enjoy! 🙂
This amazing Butter Basket was provided by “I can’t believe it’s not Butter!”…ALL opinions are my own! #simplydelicious #deliciouslysimple
I think this is a pathetic attempt at shilling fake butter and waste of time pancake mix so you can get paid by some fake butter company. I really love love love that your blog is moaning about buttery goodness all the while using fake butter. Seriously?
As if real butter was somehow rare and unobtainable. And probably cost the same. And making pancakes from scratch wasn’t just as easy as using a mix.
It’s like fantasizing about George Clooney while you are offering up George Costanza.
Well..thank you so much for your passion, feel free to never make these! BTW~ I’d take Costanza over Clooney any day…lol! 🙂
If I make these it will be with REAL butter. No offense Amy.
None taken at all…real is best! Enjoy! 🙂
Amy you should have said “oh bite it”.
Just my opinion.
I completely agree about the fake butter issue. Unfortunately most people don’t realize that what they are actually consuming is molecular plastic
butter 3000bc are made in a kitchen (so it was first made about 5000 years before fake butter)
margarine & other fake butters created in 1870 are made in a lab
LET’S TAKE A LOOK
Butter – Cream, salt
Margarine – Liquid Canola Oil, Water, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Plant Stanol Esters, Salt, Emulsifiers, (Vegetable Mono- and Diglycerides, Soy Lecithin), Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid and Calcium Disodium EDTA to Preserve Freshness, Artificial Flavor, DL-alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate, Vitamin A Palmitate, Colored with Beta Carotene.
Just so everyone knows… Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil is Trans Fats so if you think you’re helping you’re health by using a fake butter, think again and read this.
“Partially hydrogenated soybean oil for cardiac patients? A nice big dose of omega-6 linoleic acid? A mega-dose of “heart-healthy” plant stanols? This stuff is like a molotov cocktail for your coronary arteries!”
PLEASE DO NOT BE CONFUSED!!! ARTIFICIAL OR LAB CREATED ANYTHING IS WORSE FOR YOUR HEALTH THAN ANYTHING NATURAL.
SO IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOURSELF….SAVE YOURSELF AND EAT NATURAL REAL FOODS. Also, remember that as time and technology and medical research goes on, people should be getting better & diseases being cured! In actuality, heart disease is increasing and more and more people are dying of cancer. Why? because or processed (lab made foods) that doctors and organizations are getting a kickback to promote. Same with medications….in the US do you think that your prescribing doctor has really studied every medication that he prescribes? The answer is no! He only knows what his drug rep (who is hired by the drug company to sell the meds to the doctor) tells him. The drug companies would be out of business if we all ate healthy…meaning all natural foods, raw foods without chemicals that can harm you in the long run. They are finally breaking the silence with “diet” foods & drinks such as Diet Coke being a cause of Lupus (cancer of the blood) and artificial sweeteners damaging your nervous system.
I don’t know about you but all that lab stuff is off my menu of items to consume. I’m good eating things where when I read the ingredients the words don’t look like chemistry volcabulary words. Just food for thought!
I agree whole heartedly with your comments. We all should be paying more attention to the labels before we take a bite!
More like country crotch! This stuff is so far from butter it’s crazy.
This shit aint’ butter, it’s a couple molecules away from PLASTIC but it ain’t butter, not by a long shot.
Try using REAL butter next time, and get back to us with the (delicious) results.
Ridiculous ad for fake butter…
Waste of time
Great idea! I don’t care if it is an advertisement for spread. I care that it’s easy and can be mixed up and serve to the kids or whomever else is around for breakfast fast fast fast.
Thanks Amy for your great ooey gooey yummy recipes!!
By the way I hope you did get paid by country crock, lord knows you deserve it.
Aww! Thank you Becky! PS.any Butter or spread will work, some people are just out to complain..poor things! 🙂
I was looking for the Buckwheat Cake recipe. Which was the picture I clicked on! Being gluten free, it’s a major disappointment to scroll thru all this bunk and flim flam looking for the non-existent. false advertising from 1st to last!
Like Becky said, hope you got paid Well!
I never stated anything about Buckwheat Cake….but just to help you, here you go:
~Have a nice day..try to smile! 🙂
Thanx for the recipe Amy! I love pancakes and am always interested in trying a new style. I am always amazed at the venomous replies form people who don’t like or want to try a recipe. Frankly, I feel sorry for folks like Francie, Lisa, Becky & g andolina they have so much hate in their life that they feel the need to attack a recipe? I looked up your 101cookbooks.com, thanx for 1 more site to feed me with delicious food! I think your 1 pan breakfast is a must! Have a wonderful day and “Keep Calm and Recipe On”
Amen grant and thank you! 🙂
this is funny,. anyway, who eats breakfast with family anymore———milk and ceral………and if you are going to make pancakes…….one minute longer and you get from scratch……….. a real treat, buckwheat…………and what about a grated potato pancake for breakfast…….. have a good day…………….
It is funny…such controversy over Butter/fake Butter..LOL! ~Love potato pancakes..YUM! 🙂
Shouldn’t butter cakes actually have butter in it? This is false advertising! Really though, butter is not bad for you. Animal fat is actually healthy for us and all that garbage the govt has been handing us for year is …..well, garbage. There are no scientific studies proving that fat clogs arteries. Cut back on the cake and eat the butter! That’s the real “healthy” alternative. 🙂 If you don’t believe me then test it with your cholesterol blood tests.
I was on allrecipes.com and clicked on the photo of the Buckeye Cake Bomb, and here I am! Oh, well!
Can you tell me how/where exactly that pic was and when? I’m concerned because I haven’t published that recipe yet, not sure how anyone could’ve even seen that picture. Thank you so much. 🙂
yup, i saw it,too.buckeye cake bomb gave me pancakes. lov anything with the word cake in it, but restrain myself……usually.(yeah, right)
Amy, I am impressed that you posted a recipe pushing a fake buttery spread! Personally, I don’t like anything fake…so why not use REAL butter?? Although I don’t want to be hateful like some of your bloggers, I don’t like your recipe. But thanks! And I hope you were paid well. You certainly pushed the product!
But I clicked on a pic of Butter Cakes (brown cake in a bowl)…where is that recipe? Trish
No worries trish…everyone is entitled to their opinions. I’m not sure how people have been seeing the picture of that cake in a bowl, since I’ve not yet published it…I’m a little confused and concerned how that got out there. I will check on it, thanks for letting me know 🙂
I also clicked on the Buckeye Cake Bomb picture and ended up here??
This is the strangest thing..that post is literally in my draft folder, not published. I’m going to have to see what’s going on. Sorry for so much confusion.
Love that you’re not letting the haters get you down! This page is actually linked to the external feeds on the FoxNews website. When I saw – I had to click on it because I’ve known about your site for months now and have tried a couple of your recipes. It is obvious some people don’t get your site and/or know of what you do. You’re not a fancy, schmancy cookologist – you’re a fun, imaginative, McGivering with what you’ve got, kind of person. And I love it! Definitely not on my meal plan on a regular basis because I would be huge – be definitely included on my plans when I want to have fun. Like one of the others said, Keep Calm and Recipe On.
Aww thank you! No one gets to me, the beauty is they are free to move along to the billions of other food site choices out there. I’m blessed to have the majority of people, that are kind and fun…what food should be..lol. Fox News huh? That’s cool..thanks for letting me know. 🙂
i found the cake bomb photo at th bottom of an article in the new york post,if that means anything
Wow…that’s crazy…but kind of awesome too. :). Thanks for letting me know.
If you see it again..can you send me the link or pic? Thank you! 🙂
I found your ad on Fox news also while looking for a Discrimination article. Here is the link: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2013/08/23/lawyers-agree-to-drop-paula-deen-discrimination-lawsuit/ .No drama, just a link. What is the saying? “If you do not have something nice to say then do not say anything at all.”? That is part of what is wrong with the world today, people think that others don’t have feelings. If you were standing right in front of us, would they say the same thing to you? Please….they would not say anything bc they hide behind their computers;)
I too saw a picture of the buckeye cake bomb and clicked on it expecting that recipe. Not sure what is going on, but it seems to be coming from a lot of external sites as I was just reading an article on my local news site – mysa.com when I saw it. Good idea on substituting butter/margerine for the liquid in pancakes, must try! Will definitely come back to see the other recipe when you do publish it 🙂
I too clicked on the picture of a Buckeye Cake Bomb, although the description did say,
Recipe: Butter Cakes
Oh Bite It
Here is the site I came from:
Thank you for showing me~ I see that, and I have NO idea how that picture was accessed! It’s never been published…lol! So sorry for the confusion, but i’m glad you made it here anyway!! 🙂
OMG!Butter does make everything better!
I too, wanted to check out the Buckeye Cake Bomb. If a recipe calls for margarine, I always substitute butter. I was raised on butter. My mom bought some Imperial margarine when I was about 12 or 13. I almost gagged and have never eaten it since. I only use REAL butter. Try making these with real butter and then see how lip smackin’ good it really is!
No worries…I’ll be posting the Cake Bomb soon. 🙂
Here’s my take…. If you don’t want to make the butter cakes the way she posted….DON’T! And here’s a tip….get a life and quit bashing on this lady. Damn…you people make me sick.
Haha…amen. I’m shocked at the passion behind butter/imitation butter…it’s not like I invented the stuff. 🙂
in reference to these butter-bullies, oh, bite me;)
Hahaha…butter bullies..awesome. 🙂
It always baffles me how people can say something so obviously negative or insulting and think that adding “No offense” at then just makes it all better. I’m amazed at the people who are so worked up over the legitimacy of the butter. Your pictures look wonderful by the way! Definitely making me feel like some nomz 🙂
hi, I just found a recipe at the bottom of an msn article, it said, recipe butter cakes, so I had to check it out. looks pretty good..Steve
